Loans and Bursaries

Our students qualify for loans and bursaries offered by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement Supérieur.

Description

Financial aid

Loans and bursaries are available and intended for students who are pursuing full-time and part-time studies, under certain conditions. This assistance is granted in the form of a loan that is guaranteed by the Government of Quebec and that does not bear interest until the end of the studies.

The amount of assistance granted takes into account, on the one hand, the expenses normally related to studies (school fees and living expenses, etc.) and, on the other hand, the students’ financial resources. It also takes into account, if applicable, the income of the child’s parents, sponsor or spouse. When the calculated financial need is greater than the amount of the loan awarded, a grant may be added to it.

By applying for financial aid in May or June, students can considerably speed up the processing of their application. If an amount of financial assistance is earmarked for them, they are more likely to receive it before the start of the school year.
