A state-of-the-art Cybersecurity program
Every business relies on digital technology. They need to implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to guard themselves against various types of cyber-attacks. In addition, there is a shortage of cybersecurity professionals. There are rapidly evolving technologies and standards to master and apply. Our program is not just about theory. It covers various aspects of the specialization, focusing on network management, Cybersecurity and Cloud computing, equipping you with the practical skills and knowledge needed in the industry. The program is built to ensure that you qualify and work for many in-demand cybersecurity jobs through a well-planned curriculum that makes it easy to follow even for someone with no experience.
This specialized six-semester program (3 years – 2 670 hours) includes an eight-week internship (270 hours) in a company. The program aims to prepare students to develop the knowledge and skills required to design, configure, and manage a network’s infrastructure and its security and maintain all IT-related operations. Our program empowers students to stay ahead and equip themselves for a rewarding network administration and cybersecurity career.
The Government of Quebec funds a portion of the tuition fees for students in the field of Computer Science and Networks, which started in the fall of 2022. With this scholarship, local students will be able to receive up to a maximum of $9,000 in college financial aid. Awards are $1,500 per semester. They will be disbursed after each eligible semester. This scholarship is only offered to local students.

We are recognized as a member of the distinguished Cisco Networking Academy, and hence, we can offer our students access to several certifications that are highly recognized and required by the job market. In addition, as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Academy member institution, Collège O’Sullivan de Montréal Inc. has access to the AWS Academy cloud computing curriculum, developed and maintained by AWS.
Mandatory material
Students must have a laptop with the following minimum specifications:
- Windows 11 PRO (Windows 10 S (limited version of Windows 10), MAC and Chromebook are not compatible);
- Processor: Intel I7 or AMD Ryzen 7 or Intel I5 or AMD Ryzen 5 latest generation with VT-X virtualization;
- Memory: 32GB recommended;
- Hard Drive SSD: size 500 GB or higher;
- Screen: 14 inches minimum;
- Connectivity: USB 3.0, Wi-Fi and NIC LAN;
- You will need a USB-RJ45 adaptor if your laptop doesn’t have a network jack.
The College does not loan computers to students. Please Bring Your Own Devise. A computer cannot be replaced by a smartphone.
The program content, hands-on learning activities and industry standard technologies prepare the students for various high in-demand certifications such as CISCO (CCNA, CCNP), CompTIA (A+), LPIC (Linux essentials), LPIC (security essentials), Azure and many more.
Requirements
The admission requirements
To qualify, you must:
Have a Secondary School Diploma (SSD)
OR
Have a Secondary Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) including:
- Secondary V Language of Instruction;
- Secondary V Second Language;
- Secondary IV Mathematics
OR
Have equivalent qualification for a person who has studied outside Quebec
OR
Have equivalent experience and qualifications and have interrupted his or her full-time studies for a period of at least 24 consecutive months.
Other requirements
Successful completion of the following course:
Secondary 4 Techno-Sciences mathematics OR Natural Sciences mathematics (Math 426 or 436) OR Secondary 5 Culture, Society and Technology mathematics.
A candidate who has not obtained his or her SSD or DVS can be accepted conditionally if not more than 6 credits are missing to obtain the SSD or DVS. In such a case, the candidate must agree to complete the missing credits during his or her first semester of studies.
To apply students must provide:
- Admission form to be completed online ($ 50 admission fee will be generated);
- High school transcript issued by the “Ministère de l’Éducation d’Enseignement Supérieur”;
- Last post-secondary transcript, if applicable OR Equivalence issued by the “Ministère de l’Immigration, Francisation et Intégration du Québec”;
- Birth certificate (long-format issued by l’État Civil).
* Candidates born outside of Quebec must submit documents proving their official status in Quebec.
Applicants who are in their final year of high school receive a conditional acceptance, pending receipt of their high school diploma.
Collège O’Sullivan de Montréal inc. operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applications are processed throughout the year. An applicant will usually be notified of the Admissions Committee’s decision within three weeks of their application during the registration period.
Admission fees for Canadians or international students must then be paid according to the established deadlines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this DCS considered a pre-university program?
This 3-year technical DCS opens access to the job market in the legal field, or allows you to continue your university studies.
Is there a deadline to apply?
No, there is no deadline to submit your application. If the semester has already started, your application will be treated for the following semester.
How many French classes will I need to take?
This will depend on whether you have a certificate of eligibility for English-language education or not, as well as your level of French. There are many set of courses that can accommodate you, depending on your level of French proficiency.
Students who have a certificate of eligibility: They will take two French second-language courses, and three program courses in French.
Students who do not have a certificate of eligibility: They will take three French courses to help them prepare for the French Exit Exam and two program courses in French.
Does the college provide laptops and other devices?
The college follows the principal of BYOD, meaning Bring Your Own Device. Each student is responsible of having their own laptop and any other mandatory material.
