The fascinating world of film and television production is actively looking for highly competent technical personnel. The most sought after jobs are in the following departments:
To teach the trades of a production set, making sure that the student fully comprehends the use of all equipment used both on an exterior or interior set. The spirit of teamwork will also be clearly emphasized.
The student will become familiar with each and every job on a set for feature films, television productions, video-clips and corporate videos. The student will understand every step of the production process, from the basic idea to the final product.
At the end of the program, students may be offered a 6 week internship within the industry. Students will acquire valuable hands on experience which is aimed at helping the student obtain employment.
The Media Technology for Film and Television Production Sets Program has its own High Definition television studio. The studio is equipped with 11 High Definition (HD) Sony cameras and 19 Standard Definition (SD) cameras, a control room which includes a Tricaster HD video mixer and a professional lighting system.
